Upcoming courses include the following: Acute Care and First Aid Homeopathy: Linda G. Miller, BMus, RSHom(NA), CCH This course is a practical and comprehensive introduction to first aid and acute care problems using classical homeopathy. It includes lectures on theory and philosophy, Materia Medica, repertorization and casework addressing first aid and acute care. Reading assignments, homework and quizzes are also included. This course stands alone as excellent training for individuals wanting to competently use homeopathic remedies in their general health regime and for health professionals seeking to add to their skill set. It is also a foundational prerequisite for the four-year classical homeopathy and medical sciences diploma program. 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. the following Saturdays: Session 1: October 29, November 12, December 10, 2011; January 14, February 11, March 10, March 31, April 14, 2012. Session 2: April 28, May 12, May 26, June 9, June 23, July 7, July 21, August 4, 2012. Natural Science for the Homeopath: Dr. Tevna Tayler, ND This course has been specially created to cover the fundamental concepts of chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics and mathematics for prospective students seeking acceptance to WCHM’s four-year diploma program who have not studied science at the post-secondary level. It includes instruction both online and in the classroom. 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. the following Fridays: January 6th, February 3, March 23, May 4, June 1, 2012. Homeopathy for Animals Our much-anticipated courses in animal homeopathy will be running early 2012! There are three distinct courses offered: Homeopathy for Cats and Dogs, Homeopathy for Horses, and Homeopathy for Livestock. Each consists of six six-hour sessions, team-taught by Julie Anne Lee (DCH), director of the College of Animal Homeopathic Medicine in Vancouver, and Linda Faye Gwenhwfar Miller (CCH, RSHOM(NA)), director of our own Western College of Homeopathic Medicine. These are courses in homeopathy for first aid and acute conditions as it applies to animals. They include comprehensive training in the foundations of homeopathic medicine, equivalent to the foundations taught in our Acute Care and First Aid Homeopathy course (which is a prerequisite for our four-year diploma program). All participants are required to attend all four Foundations lectures, and may choose between Cats/Dogs, Horses, and Livestock. 1 course (in either Cats/Dogs OR Horses OR Livestock): $1,250.00 Any 2 animal-specific courses: $1,650.00 All 3 courses: $2,000.00 Prices do not include GST or textbooks.
